Sami A. Khursani is currently the Chief Operation Officer of Wa’ed, the Saudi Aramco Entrepreneurship Center. He has more than 25 years of experience in Oil & Gas and Engineering related fields. In his position, he has led many initiatives which all contribute to the development of a healthy entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Sami received a B.S. in Systems Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. In addition, he perused an MBA in Management Information Systems in 1993.
Sami’s major career stepping stones consist of holding the position of Division Head for Professional Engineering Development, the Superintendent for NGL & Utilities Division in the Ras Tanura Refinery, the Technical Director of Oil & Gas Measurement, Administrator of the Leadership Development Division, Assistant to Chief Engineer and the Director of the Technology Management Program.
Sami is a member of numerous professional organizations which include the Institute of Industrial Engineers, the New York Academy of Sciences, the American Chemical Society, and the Saudi Council of Engineers.
